Seguin '100%' healthy ahead of World Cup of Hockey
Mike Zeisberger, Postmedia Network Aug 24, 2016TORONTO — Tyler Seguin says he's ready to "rock and roll."For Team Canada general manager Doug Armstrong and coach Mike Babcock, those words must sound like music to their ears. With forward Jamie Benn and defenceman Duncan Keith pulling out of the World Cup of Hockey tournament the past two days in order to rehab existing ailments, the fact that Seguin Wednesday proclaimed he's at "100%" came as welcome news for a Canadian squad that is in dire need of some.A complicated series of injuries involving his Achilles and calf caused Seguin to miss 10 regular-season games and all but one of the Dallas Stars post-season contests in 2015-16, a run that ended with a heartbreaking seven-game elimination at the hands of the St. Louis Blues in the second round.
