A pair of Hawks will be at the special event in Toronto.Chicago Blackhawks prospects Nick Schmaltz and Tyler Motte will be among the 27 players attending this year's NHLPA Rookie Showcase, the players' union announced Tuesday.The event, which takes place Aug. 29 at Mattamy Athletic Centre in Toronto, is a big marketing shindig designed to provide the chance to see up-and-coming players skate in their new uniforms.

The Blackhawks will not return to Notre Dame for training camp due to the World Cup.The Chicago Blackhawks training camp is staying in Illinois this year.For the first time in four seasons, the Blackhawks will host their annual training camp in Chicago instead of at the Compton Family Ice Arena on Notre Dame's campus, reports CSN Chicago's Tracey Myers.
